Alborz is a founder of CarExpert and has been writing about cars professionally since 2006 when he launched CarAdvice. He is an honourary adjunct professor at the University of QLD and is in denial about the impending death of the internal combustion engine.
Despite having reviewed and driven thousands of different cars, he still can't work out how to replace a windscreen wiper.
Although a technologist at heart, he is far more excitable by the noise and feel of a car than its technical wizardry.
He owns too many cars that he never drives but has a deep sense of love for his Aston Martin Vantage and Ferrari 458 Speciale.
Having sold CarAdvice to Channel Nine some time ago, Alborz, Tony and Paul left in 2019 and recruited the best team in Australia to launch CarExpert in 2020.

He then went on to build a company that became a trusted authority and dominated its niche. He then sold his business and has started all over again. Along his journey, Alborz has started and pivoted different business concepts no less than 17 times until he broke through to major success with CarAdvice. This is his story.
